Intermediate Band:

Theory assignment: musictheory.net, choose "lessons" then "steps and accidentals" and "key signatures".

This is an interactive lesson with audio. Please study these concepts because we will review in class.

- Long Tones, p. 14-16

- Lip slurs, p. 19 #3 and #4

- Major scales Concert F through Gb

- Chromatic scale as discussed in class

- Chromatic warmups

- Scales in thirds from White book, practice 4 a day until you've rotated through the entire section, repeat.

- Breath control exercises, rotate through all.

- EE 2: #48-49, #50-55 *The next pass-off will be #49 on April 1

-study the theory lessons from the last few weeks on musictheory.net.

-Chromatic warmups

-9/10 or 11/12 scales

-arpeggios from white book (rotate each day until you've played all of them through the course of a week)

-Maxwell: Ex. 10 and "Translunar Injection." Pass-off on March 25

-Pass-off on April 1 will be chosen from the arpeggios. For Alexander, Laura, and Kelly Belle, you will pass-off on either #1,3,5,7, or 9 only. The rest of the band may be asked to pass-off on any of #1-#16.
